Kriss Avery, former instructor of film sound at the University of
Kansas Theatre & Film Dept., received a Bachelor of Music Composition
(1978) from Univ. of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music
and performed extensive graduate study in electronic music at UMKC and
Univ. of Illinois. She was formerly music copyist for the Kansas
City Philharmonic. Her children's songs were published in The Missouri
Conservation Songbook (1982). Her compositions have been performed at
music festivals across the US. Member of NATAS (Nat'l Assoc. of Television
Arts & Sciences).
